Territory presents a selection of large-scale charcoal drawings which Noela Stratford has been produced in response to different landscapes, ranging from swirling mists on a sacred Thai mountain and enigmatic Hanging Rock, shrouded in mystery and intrigue, to Milford Sound in New Zealand, where billowing mists blur and obscure the massive forms of rock and foliage.

Ballarat-based artist Stephen Pleban depicts environmental, atmospheric and seasonal change including drought and the return of water to Lake Wendouree. He conveys the shifting moods created by weather, light and the elements that fracture the focus and touch on the sublime.

Lyn Plummer is an installation artist whose practice has explored notions of ritual and religion over a thirty year period. Modulations has been visualized as a series of installations that sets up a sense of pilgrimage: one which extends over a number of years and encompasses conceptually both the artist and the viewer.

Static No 12. takes the footage of a random man performing tai chi exercise in a Shanghai park. The image is stretched across the screen and the man soon becomes a molten image of movements, body parts, familiar yet unrecognisable, graceful but eerie and uncomfortable.
