The Catalano Collection

Gary Catalano was one of Australia's leading art critics and writers. After his death in 2002, the Art Gallery of Ballarat was given his personal collection of art which he had built up over 30 years from exhibitions he visited and by artists he knew.  This exhibition presenting his gifted collection provides a fascinating insight into connoisseurship by revealing the intellectual and emotional preoccupations of one highly intelligent and perceptive man. It includes works by Rick Amor, Peter Booth, Paul Boston, David Keeling, Lynne Boyd, Elizabeth Gower, Mirka Mora and Rosie Weiss.
