These programs are an opportunity for students to work with local professional artists.

Term 3 After School Program

Realistic Drawing with Shane Boland
Mondays, 28 July to 15 September (8 weeks)
Learn skills in drawing and illustration focusing on layout, composition, light and shade, texture and perspective. Students will use the Gallery building and collection-paintings, furniture and sculpture-as inspiration for a series of realistic drawings.
Ages: 10-16

Who Am I? with Melinda Muscat
Tuesdays, 29 July to 16 September (8 weeks)
What are your favourite colours? What clothes do you wear? Who are your favourite people, pets and toys? If you were a superhero, what would your super powers be? Explore the special things that make you who you are in a series of large scale drawings.
Ages: 7-12

Discover Mokuhanga (Japanese woodblock printmaking) with Terry McKenna
Wednesdays, 30 July to 17 September (8 weeks)
Learn the amazing and flexible water-based Japanese woodblock printing technique, transferring your own image, carve and print using traditional Japanese tools. Easy and ecofriendly, you will produce a one or more colour print under the guidance of a certified teacher. Learn how the masters do it!
Ages: 10-16

Bohemians in the Bush with Carla Maxwell
Thursdays, 31 July to 18 September (8 weeks)
Explore the artwork of key Australian Impressionists Tom Roberts, Charles Conder, Fred McCubbin and Arthur Streeton and other artists in the Collection. Create your own 9" x 5" paintings to exhibit in the Lydiard Street Window.
