Gallery Foundation
The Art Gallery of Ballarat Foundation was established in 1998
as a Charitable Fund for the future benefit of the
Gallery.
The main aim of the Foundation is to establish a substantial
capital endowment to earn sufficient income to assist the Gallery
with specific projects or acquisitions.
In July 2000, the Foundation undertook a successful $2 million
fundraising campaign to assist with the funding of the Gallery's
extension and redevelopment and continues to support Gallery
projects and activities.
Income from the Foundation is applied to acquisitions and
conservation of major works of art, major exhibitions and
educational programs, publications and research projects,
scholarships and traineeships, buildings and equipment.
The Foundation also accepts gifts where the capital is to be
applied to these purposes.
All donations and gifts are tax deductible.
